30miles today. Didnt bother with the club ride because there was snow about. Went out about 12ish, sunny, i wasnt that cold because i had my winter jacket on and fingered gloves and buff. Speed was high-ish.
Killer of a head wind on the way back.
Was out on the Giant, fixed still in LBS. Hopefully picking that up tomorrow, missed not going out on it this week.

My run today was curtailed by a lighting failure., I had to walk part of the way home, well I walked on the bits where there was no joint-user path ;)

The time has come to bring my cycle lighting in to line with 21st century technology.

Don't tell me, the candle wick ran out

No, it was a mechanical failure of the water tap.

Aint it always the way...bit late for work, it's raining, , decide i want to use the winter bike, cant find my pump (in case), can't find the battery.......and the winds against me

All this for a short commute
Made it on time, but a little stressed. It would have been so easy to take the car....but no.

Jeez it was cold and had the wind against me all the way up to Lancaster sapping power and roaring in my ears. No time to stop for a brew in Scorton as the light was against me and had no lights with me. Raced back to Blackpool watching the sun set like a Frog Brother who has just been poking Vampires with a pointy stick. Made it back just in time having rode 56 miles with very cold feet.

Battling the buses tonight....loads of em.
Pros and cons really. Seemed to be either meeting with them at all the traffic lights and bus stops....so i often prefer to hang back and let them on their way..but occasionally got awesome drafts off them.
Lots of traffic tonight as well, although thankfully...all well behaved.

On the Raleigh winter hack...it goes well. Cant say its the prettiest bike by far...but smooth

A very pleasant 27mile circuit today. Milder weather, some  little wind, didn't see another cyclist. Stopped for tea half way and sampled an excellent chocolate biscuit/cake thingy.
