56 miles this morning including a club ride. I haven’t been on many club rides, only three, but I fancied it today so it was off to the clubhouse to see what the route du jour was

The weather was pretty humid and I was over dressed in longs, everyone else on the ride was in shorts I think…but Ive got some pondage to shift so a bit of a sweat didn’t hurt

It was a nice sociable group and exactly what I needed after some bad news this morning..to get out..get with people and ride through some lovely lanes down and around fontwell. The route took in the sea front and harbour at Littlehampton and climping etc, all familier territory

The cake stop was at a garden centre somewhere, cant remember its name, but a kind lady offered to share her bike lock with me as I didn’t have one and I indulged in tea and a piping hot pastie!
It was good to chat to other riders, not just about bikes but all kinds of things.
I still have trouble getting into a group rider mindset after so long riding alone, but it was nice to ride in a wind shadow for a change!

So, a good ride, different experience and a nice morning out riding in Sussex
i looked on the skyride site for local rides but there is only one ride and thats a mountain bike off road jobby. So i set up a group, which so far has just one member...guess who lol!Did a skyride today titled 'Metroland'. The distance was about 25 miles, and included some very nasty hills.
