Very nice 18 miles.Off and on road.In the woods and trails around Harewood House.Weather superb. But around the farm fields near Eccup and Emmerdale Farm set.Mud, mud glorious mud nothing quite like it for caking the bike. That much of it.Took a chance and put the hose pipe to it.Rather than the small spray gun.Good dry and polish good as new.

Just a few miles commuting today (probably 10 miles or so )...which was ever so slightly spoiled by a taxi driver at rush hour coming a bit too close for my liking. Not real close...but not giving my space due respect....so i give him an 'OI '

He slowed down to almost a stop in front of me for no apparent reason (other than to be awkward i assume)....so as i rode past him i smacked his door mirror. Nothing too mental ;). Just a little bang to let him know how i felt.

He honked and honked at me :biggrin::biggrin: I hope i spoiled his day

Am i bad ?

Backfrom a quick spin around Eccup res.11/2 hr.But something has got me wound up.Rubbish dumping. On a back lane i have found two tellies a cd player and what looks like a display cabinet with four flo tubes like a sandwich bar thing. Why oh why do people spoil the countryside? And further round a door. What a mess. This has all started this past two years. This area is becoming a fave place for tippers.Should not have started to charge at tips for industrial waste. Now they are having to go collect it.It would make more sense to take it in the first place.

last commute on the summer bike for a while (i hope), as it has been brought into service for a few days after winter bike had a tyre failure. nice shiny set of rubinos ready to go tomorrow…

I've been on my 'last' commute on the best bike for about a month now...can't bring myself to stow it away
Gave it a good clean Tuesday at work..thinking that's it....in the shed tonight, then out with the winter hack. This morning was glorious, so out it came again ;) Still, it got another wipe over and polish at work

Ah well....lovely commute today...mild, exilarating in the traffic, blasted past all other commuters. One day, someones going to do it to me ....:smile: God knows i cant be the fittest commuter in Peterborough...but i dont think i've been overtaken in the last couple of years at least.

While waiting at SWMBOs work...she informed me one of the lady teachers had a flat tyre on her car and was a bit flustered and upset.....no problem, 5 minutes work...good deed for the day.

Yes this really gets my goat too. I f***ing hate fly tippers.
I did see a beat up van one evening earlier this year on the road behind Eccup. I thought it was odd at the time. 30 mins later going the other way there was a pile of assorted crap left in an area just off the lane.
How I wish I had stopped and taken a pic of the van and it's registration.
