Just a short 16.5miles from my flat to my parents house, 1h10 with fully loaded panniers, I can ususally do it in sub 1h including any stops but I didn't want to do anything too strenuous as I still have a little bit of a cold/ sore throat.
48 miles today - getting fit for the 2008 Inaugural London and Home Counties Cycle Chat Ride.
6 guys/girls in the group today - planned specificly to ride into the wind and cruise the home leg. Great fun tapping along at 25mph
a nippy 60 mile club training ride. the only stops were for the p word (me included ) and my legs are really feeling it now.
apparently my water cooler cup and gaffa tape rear mudguard solution is not up to the required length, in the words of the club captain: "look at them, they're covered in shite!". some more cup and a stapler will have to be deployed…
Dragged my heavy legs around a 18 mile triangle on the hybrid. 35mph wind from the south west. Leg back home was very quick even managed to turn 52x12 from a while. Throw in sudden downpours, being blanked by a brace of roadies it was not the most enjoyable run I have ever had.
Commute into work, dump bike then it was walk around town with this girl, see HSM3 more walking around town, then down to work, grab bike and dash home in the rain. Wheel was spinning up everytime i was putting in some power. Got a tad wet riding home though.
Good day
34 mile ride up to Banbury reservoir and back along the Lee Valley NCN1 cycle route. Tough ride back into a strong headwind with rain, legs ache but strong believer in no gain without pain!
About a 10 mile round trip to work and back. Busy road all the way there and an incident with a bus and nearly went into the back of a car (my fault). Not the best ride in a while then
