Yesterday 62 miles around Leicestershire -v nice and not too windy
Today - I bit the bullet and went proper downhilling for the first time in about three years. Like I never stopped! What a buzz
Unfortunately drank too much coffee which is why i'm still up!
little ride round hope yesterday, not too far only 8 miles, but revived my liking for MTbing which had taken a turn for the worse. I was even nice to some horses
cyb next weekend!
25.10miles in 1:23:52(something like that) and averaged 17.90mph. Not bad, bit slippy out, lots of skids(just ended up doing them today) on the slippy roads.
Good ride, kept my speed up-ish.
Metcheck called it on the money. Was a clear day and minimal wind as I set off across the Wyre through St Michaels and up onto Three Steps Oakenclough which I flew down beating my previous top speed hitting 48.18 and it felt fast on to Harris End and then dropped into Scorton for a brew. Coming out of Scorton and heading for the Quernmore started to feel the wind but it was as I got into Lancaster that I felt the full force and rode for 26 miles in a beast of a head/cross wind nasty across Cockerham sands as its so open before fighting it up the lanes back onto the Wyre.
Arriving home having just got over 70 miles in, makes up for missing yesterday. Crap speed overall but no sense killing yourself into a harsh wind.
Just a 9 mile windy commute; I had the front brake cable snap on me, it was fairly new (a month or two old) but perhaps it had become strained when I got a hard push from a car bumper last week. I'm glad I fixed my back brake the other day.
