27 miles done today, at a pretty slow speed on the fixed. Wind was a killer, hard into the head wind, hard to stay going straight with the side wind.
Passed some guy on a mountain bike with his right foot angled at nearly 90' to the bike:wacko: Went past him fast, then when stopped at traffic lights track standing he bumped up on the pavement(whilst still going fast) and jumped the lights. Did a comment when i went past, i really dont see the point in it, like going up on the pavement make it any better:wacko: What annoyed me more though, was the fact he did that then was going pretty slow, which ment the car infront of me had to slow down before he went round him, meaning i had to slow down. Gosh, could he just wait:evil:

34 miles midday today (on holiday...escaped from the decorating for a while)
Despite Peterboro being flat, there's some decent small hills as you head into Northants....so it was Peterborough, through many villages, up to Alconbury and back. 541 ft ascent...that surprised me .
Maybe not a lot for some...but miraculous round here

I saw maybe my old car from 20 years ago
Parked about 15 miles from me...the registration number seems remarkably similar...Marina 1.8 Coupe. this is he....

Went on my longest ride yet this morning. Just shy of 31 miles in just over 2 hours. Although I wimped out of the nasty hilly bits in Richmond Park :becool:

Saw a blow-out in a group of serious looking roadie types who had just gone past me. Pretty spectacular stuff... saw a puff of smoke / mist and a loud bang... like a gunshot

The rest of 'em kept on going because some dude on a moped was riding next to them barking orders and told them not to stop and keep going ( he did go back to check on the casualty). Went back past the unfortunate chap who was removing the tyre a few mins later - yup it was the back one. Past him again later on... guess he couldnt fix it because ht was pushing his bike back towards the car park.

Next week I'll try to push up to 35 miles!

Just done 25km on the track, 50km total ride. We had a great time today doing team pursuits and team sprints. All fun, but we got competitive when it came to the anchorman lap times - I did a 28.5sec lap at 50.5km/h which I was pretty pleased with.

40 miles for me today - 30 of them offroad on a towpath - nice and easy on the way there went down 27 locks or something stupid - was hell on the way back though - we had to climb something like 400ft in just 15 miles:ohmy:

Ah Nutella on nice fresh bread with chocolate milk lovely. Just back from my climbing loop was lovely weather on the way out but could see it changing whilst sat in the Priory at Scorton and was a tad chilly on the way back and the wind was getting up. Got a good hard 50 miles in, in 3 hours 12 minutes still off my pace.

I decided it was time for my winter bike today, sod's law it turned out to be a glorius day, if a little windy but the summer bike would have been fine. The club run took a hilly route instead of the usual flat route , 40 miles I think by the time I finished doing other things I'd clocked up 67.5 miles.

My usual 11 mile ride along the Hampshire country lanes around Bramley. The weather was lovely and I really enjoyed it. Also went swimming for the first time in ages and managed 1km. Spoiled all my good work though with a chinese takeaway this evening.
