longdale lane, yeah that is a boring shitter. I went that way when i rode to work from southwell via oxton. Prefer through blidworth.

Not sure what makes it so boring, ive tried everything when going along there but still it kills me. As soon as i get past that im good.
Going to try going through blidworth now, see how that goes.

Did 23miles yesterday on the fixed in 1:18:53 so not a bad time. Lots of spinning.
Had some guy(he looked about 18/19). in a car speed past me to get to the lights first, and was indicating to turn right so i went down the big gap on the left and trackstanded infront of himHe wasnt happy and told me i should be on the left, to which i laughed and said no. So he started to rev his engine up. Toldhim not to threaten me and laguhed at him again. Lights went green and in the time he took to gt going i had powered off. Next set of lights he was there first ad he had his window down. I was turning right and he was 2 lanes over to the left, keeping on trying to stare at me. Lights went green and as he was going off he said, "stop staring at me, i'll fight ya now ill fight ya" then kept driving, as i was still staring at him:wacko:
Would of been funny if he had tried anything, was just down from a police station:laugh:

28 miles exactly. And I must be doing something right because the sun was shining on me all the way round.

Don't you just hate us righteous b*st*rds ?

64 miles for me today. Went to look at where I'm going to be living half of the time over the next three years (and confirmed that it's a bit far to commute by bike!)
Totally hit the wall with about 10 miles to go. So unfit at the moment:sad:

Left the house at 7.30 this morning in a downpour. 2 miles away it stopped, and the sun was trying to come out. Met 515mm in the usual spot to ride into work. It was very blustery.

About to leave for home at 5.30, 515mm looked at the Met office webpage and it predicted 40+ m.p.h. winds and gusts 55+!

515mm phoned his missus to come and get him, which is fair enough, as I can get home by a much shorter route.

But it was hammering down when we left. I stopped in a queue of cars waiting for the traffic lights to turn green. Street lighting was bad and I hadn't noticed I'd stopped right on a manhole cover. Lights turn green, cars move off, I push down on the pedal and simultaneously try to clip in, lose traction, clout my right knee on the steering post and almost go over the handlebars. How I stayed upright is a mystery.

Got home had a look at the knee and it's slightly swollen, but it's throbbing like toothache!

38 mile club run for me today, was really nice, was nice and toasty, and the sun even broke through. felt stong which is great news considering I am riding my first cyclo-cross race tomorrow.

And don't forget to let us all know how you get on.

Didn't ride today because of work, but did a 30 mileish ride t'other day, rode uphill on a too large a gear because I thought I was on the right one, wasted tons of energy and felt shattered. My fitness has taken a nose dive again. Think Ill have to get out in the mornings now.

I will but I bet my result wont be very impressive;)

You never know Young 'un, you'd be surprised i'm betting. I'm doing a few road races mid next year when I get myself a decent road bike and some time do do some decent training.

Good luck with teh races Kovu, I next year will hopefully be doing 10 mile time trials and maybe some track racing if I can get a fixed gear.

Nice .... good luck with yours tomorrow then.

Good luck Young Chav!!(had to call you that then, sorry;))
My ride today was the fast spinning to get into work, then the powering up the hill all the way home in the dark. Only nearly hit a few people this time in town. I mean, its not neccersary to be looking over your shoulder when you step off the pavement in town, even though its a road:rolleyes:
