Just did under 30 miles today up to Biggleswade from letchworth and back.

it's been very tough going recently not sure whether its lack of rides since Nathaniel was born or lack of energy due to the few hours less sleep I'm getting each night.

25 mile TT, 1:00:58 (position yet to be confirmed)

Pretty annoyed with that time, not because I performed sub-par, in fact I rode quite well and felt stronger than I ever have for a 25TT, but because it was the most bad luck I have ever hard in a race.

I should have been comfortably under the hour, but overshot a turn because the Marshall just looked like some bloke walking his dog or something so I didn't realise he was a marshal until he start shouting at me to come back, lost ~45 seconds here. Then got held up on the way up to a traffic Island by a queue of cars stuck behind another rider, then held up at the Island because said queue of traffic had to wait to get onto the roundabout, then, for the hat trick, I got stuck behind a horse lorry for a mile and a half straight after the Island!

Absolute shocker.

On the plus side, PB by 1 minute 11 seconds, on what quite a few fast guys were saying was a slow day, despite the dreck life dealt me.

PS. Unfortunatelly, someone from Macclesfield Wheelers decked it on one of the corners and ended up in an ambulance etc, I hope he is not badly injured and that he recovers quickly!

Out early this morning, met ride companions at the Severn Bridge then a quick ride to Usk via the B4235, this truly is a great route, good road surface with fantastic climbs & views to match, then back to a mates for a Full English

Yesterday's ride but a 300km audax to Bridlington. Sunny but cold at the start, then clouded over near Brid with a short shower. Quite windy which made it hard going on the way back. Saw a couple of herons in a brook by the road, and then a deer ran in front of us in a wood. Also got "buzzed" by a vulcan bomber. My body's complaining today!! I'm getting too old for these long rides!!

Epic ride today. 60 miles with the club to Flint, then Mold, then Llandegla, and then Ruthin to return to Prestatyn.
Absolutely killed me and a few others but it was a good ride to some places I have never been before.

Upper Stowe the destination, 74 miles the journey, first Sunday this year I'm in shorts, first chance to try the shorts I brought at Xmas, warm bright and breezy day the ride out with the tail wind was lovely, it was easy bowling along with the wind behind me, lots of cyclists out enjoying sun, I arrived at Upper Stowe a couple of minutes before the Club and left a couple of minutes before them, they passed me at the first right turn and disappeared out of sight, the ride home was a slow hard slog into the wind and not as much fun as the ride out, by the time I was turning right into Hipswell Highway the legs were fading but it had been a good morning and having not done a lot of cycling in the last month it was nice to get some miles in.

42 miles this morning on the road bike, including my first categorised climb on Strava, get home, 45 minutes rest, then jumped on the hybrid and did another 25 miles with our lass. Is it wrong to claim a metric tonne?
How long would a cafe stop usually be mid ride? As it's just 45 minutes I don't see why you shouldn't claim it.

55 miles today through sussex lanes...windy but sunny for the most part.

Saw hanggliders on devils dyke and a horse rubbing it's backside on a fencepost....yay.

lot's of roadies out today...no near misses with drivers and generally a very good ride.

Ended up round my brothers place sitting in the garden eating cakes drinking tea and chatting about lotsa stuff.

Then back down from inland cycling heaven to coastal cycling hell and crashed out on sunbed in garden...:sun:

After yesterdays 1st 40miler in a decade, figured I'd do a more sedate 30 miles today... I decided I'd be better setting off into the wind and getting its benefit on the last leg, so did a Lancaster > Garstang > Pilling > Lancaster loop... missed my turn for Garstang so went via Catterall instead... which according to Google maps makes it 37 miles.

had a nice pint and pub lunch at the Elletson Arms, Stake Pool; gammon, chip, egg.... by far the best piece of gammon I've had in a pub; salted, but not too salty. Then the prevailing wind blew me all the way back to town
