first commute ride on the re-built fixie commuter, nice to have all that grip on the cyclepath. Must take a pic as it's the last time the bike will look that nice...

not do the otterspool CX today trio?

No I was down in Cambridge at the weekend so missed it, sounds like it was hard hard work though.

Yesterday I did 80miles, out to Jeffery hill and home via preston, now full on a cold though.

What turned out being 23 miles. Climbing gradually up one side of a valley, past reservoirs, very quiet, autumnal day, sun setting, racing out of the valley downhill before the sun. Quite liking some of this autumn weather.

I've bee riding up and down Cheddar Gorge on Wed, Thurs, Fri. 5.5miles of climbing, with the steepist bit of 16%(i think) which goes on for a while and round a bend. 24mins up it from the campsite(the bit right at the top where you turn for wookey hole was just over 6 miles from the campsite, 24mins from campsite) and 12 back down to the campsite.
Very very fun going down it, lots of tight bends, went down and only touched my brakes lightly. Had the bike lent right over, powering down loving it. Last time would of been the fastest time down, didnt go all the way to the top, just past the tighter bit(prett much the top) turned around and shot down. Didnt touch brakes untill i had to slow down for a car.
Would love to go down it on a hot day when its closed so i could really power down it.
Loved it:becool:

Did a quick 15 miles this morning which turned out to be not so quick. I was cream crackered all the way round and it took me ages.

Think I am coming down with something .

I had a lovely 36.71 (roughly ;)) miles in glorious autumn sunshine on deserted (almost) country roads... fantastic, itwas! Not cold either, as I bought a load of winter gear in Aldi a while back, and wore it all today.. warm as the proverbial toast.
Oh yeah, logged it on cyclogs whn I got back, and for a blissful few hours, I was #1 in this month's CycleChat league!
