Rode up the Black Mountain to see the finish of the Welsh Hill Climb championship. It was very entertaining watching all the different "styles" being employed. 515mm and his good lady came in the car!!!! And the ice cream van turned up as we were leaving!!!!!!!!! But myself and "Fairweather" enjoyed the ride up and back down the mountain.

Then went on a loop of the Gower and took in a climb of Cefn Bryn just to make up the altitude figures.

Oh and I recommend the "Compass Café" between the two turnings up to Reynoldston. Carrot cake to die for.

Did a brisk 30 around the lanes, nice and sunny but not very warm. It was the biggest ride of the month for me, since hurting my back/ribs so was glad to be back out and on the bike. Going to have to get a bigger ride in mid-week as the Club run is a Century next week.

Getting a crick in my neck now from looking up the Cyclogs CC League.

Yesterday I rode 47miles out to watch the three peaks cyclo-cross. Got a lift back as I was too tired to want to ride back.

40.82 miles done today in 2:18 giving me an average of a slow-ish 17.72mph. Went to see smeone at their school, that was fun.
I clipped in when i left home, next time i unclipped was at the school:becool: Then same on the way back, got track standing going well:becool:
Rained abit, i came around the courner onto Porchester road and lent forward and locked the back wheel up. Made the back wheel slide out. Would of looked amazing, if only i could of seen me doing it:becool::wacko:
Headwind all the way there, tailwind on the way back. Lovely:biggrin:

40 miles again today. Went out early as rain is forecast. Nice ride through the lanes. Tomorrow is forecast heavy rain - might mess up the group ride.

Does anyone mind if I give it a miss today? It's rather foul out there and I am doing a duathlon tomorrow. Or do I need a note from my mum?

Hoping to put in about 30 miles tomorrow, supposed to be really bright and dry up here in my neck of the woods.

Mind you, I'm off out to my wee bruvs birthday celebrations this evening, so it will all depend on how "sensible" I remain tonight if I get out at all on the bike tomorrow.

My ride today is not worth putting on. Not even going to put it on Cyclogs. Ment to be hill climb champs but no-one turned up. Ended up going really slow with 2 other people, one decided he had had enough so was going to turn back. Then the other person did. All this at what felt like a walking pace, was averaging in the 15mph. I was by then cold and abit annoyed so i said bye and powered off. Got my les warm again, and powered up the last hill. That was fun, legs hurt, back wheel slipping around because it couldnt get enough grip. I was in a huge gear and loved it. Kept the power going.
Legs arent feeling tired, not that hungry. Was hardly worth getting the bike out the shed.
I was too cold to carry on and add in another loop so i just came home to get warm in the shower.
