Cripes! Are those edible?
Apparently yes....but ive never tried them tho. More of a mushroom man meself. I think youre supposed to eat them quite early. I suspect those in the photos have been several days a'growing...arharrr

25 miles for me today, pushed quite hard and enjoyed it, despite a quite strong side / head/ side wind.
Definately getting used to getting aero when against the wind...i cant believe the difference it makes.

Went for a potter round the lanes with twentysix by twentyfive today,,, well it might have been a potter had the urge to complete the rather undulating and twisty route at 18 mph average not reared it's ugly head.....
Unfortunately I was on my rubbish dump Holdsworth with guards, 35 mm touring tyres, rack and bag.... twentysix by twentyfive was on his TJ lightweight speed machine, it was unpleasant and painful but ultimately satisfying as we just managed to do the afore said 18mph over the 45 miles:smile:
On the flat and down hill it was ok but the numerous small hills meant that I did a lot of chasing after being dropped. He also beat me for the final 30 sign sprint.... I got held up by a car:ohmy: that is my excuse and I am sticking to it .

40miles done, had to use average speed to work out the time, my computer stopped working half way around after i had taken it out when i locked the bike up:sad:
Was a nice ride though in the sun, stopped after 21miles to see someone, that was nice.
Headwind on the way there, tailwind on the way back, so flew home spinning like mad on the fixed. Loved it:biggrin:
Put SPD(Shimano M520's) on the fixed, first ride on them. Set them up right, slightly harder to clip in then the SPD-SL's, smaller target to aim for, but did pretty well. Tightened them up.
Had a problem with a driver though, he came past me close, so i stared at him at some lights, i overtook him at these lights and he did the same again. Overtook him again in a queue and when he came past close for the 3rd time i was very annoyed, caught up with him at some lights and 'accidenty' let my hand bang his can as i went past. When he came past me again he gave me a wide birth. The cheeky:angry:
Nice ride today, dont think i will be out tomorrow though, so cant try out my new shoes till friday:sad:

Nice easy 27 miles this afternoon, lovely sunny weather although I wore my bib longs and a big jacket....

Oh, and a big thankyou to Mr Transit Van for left hooking me at about 80mph, that 3 inches you left in front of my front tyre was a nice thought....:angry:

After work I went out for my usual 33miler, stopping at my parents halfway for dinner. The first half was in the twilight and the second half in the dark. I enjoyed the whole thing but I particularly enjoyed the dark ride, 16.2 mph for the whole trip on my sirrus (flat bar road bike). Coming back through Inverkeithing I got the comment, 'hey mista you've got too many flashing things', probably did but at least folk saw me.
