Just a very relaxed 10 miles with a coastal walk at the mid point to cover a bit of shoreline I hadn't beachcombed for a few months. Just as well I had both panniers on today;)

I went to Chorley and back on pretty much the same road some thing I've never really done.

Usually I pick a different road out and back.

Though I did meet some bloke on a Ribble not much said though seemed to respect me when I went passed him, we had some lights on green but he played safe and stopped then he was on catch-up but I kept the power on (and had the distance) - on the hills though once we hit Standish he was with us and we rode up hill together but we seperated thereafter...

Had a nice day out yesterday. It was Cycle-Solihull Day, an event to hopefully
get more people cycling in and around Solihull.
My eyes are now just about recovering from all the fluorescent yellow that was being worn by the throngs of cyclists that had descended onto the town centre.
Did quite a few laps of the new 800 m cycle circuit at Tudor Grange.
Great weather for it.

31 miles done in 1:39:57 so a 18.66mph average. Not as fast as last week, but the weather didnt help. Got soaked, slightly cold, but was a decent ride.

Very short ride out today....blackberry picking. Reccied various locations two days ago on the road bike. Went equipped today on the ancient mtb. Had the foresight to be wearing long sleeves (plus it was a bit chilly). The bike is an excellent vehicle for accessing all those narrow country lanes for this purpose. Now have jars of jam cooling in the kitchen.

29.8 miles done is 1:34 so only averaged 19.10mph or something. Not a bad ride, strong winds and got stuck behind a tractor, then got caught in traffic.
Was relaxing though, some sun out aswell:becool:

Had a gentle 20 mile figure of eight route in fine weather. Stopped to have my banana beside some wild brambles. A mouthful of brambles along with each bite of banana...delicious:smile:;)

Lovely weather though. Think I hot every bump today, seemed to be unreasonably bumby.
