Lovely sunny ride with Mr6 this morning, just 20 miles with a stop half way at the sculpture trail, a shorter stop than anticipated as I didn't have any cash and they wanted me to spend £10 to be able to use my card.
Had a bit of an ouchy moment on an uphill, I geared down too quickly and thought my chain had slipped -it hadn't - but I stopped to check, then on starting off again I lost my pedal and slipped forward and came down hard on the nose of the saddle:ohmy:
Mostly traffic free for the couple of hours we were out, but two very close passes coming through Dalston, made all the more noticeable by the very wide berth the third car gave us.

Good 17 miles today with friends before swimming in the sea, although an idiot in an HGV drove close enough to me that I could touch the side of the lorry if I wanted to without stretching.

Oaf on a Bike
Lovely weather today, I decided i'd try something different and had a go at a 10mile TT course i found on Strava, just to see how far off id be off the club guys on my 22kg front suspension hybrid  The road is normally super quiet because theres a new bigger road parallel to it so excellent for cycling, but i turned up at rush hour and it was like a 70mph racetrack, so lots of shoulder checking, coasting, braking etc. Anyway still managed 18.1mph/33:10 and gives me something to beat next time. I think i might really like TTing if i had a road bike

Was going to get the Defy out, but after more getting I deciding to do an enjoyable 15 miles. Spoiled only by a wvm cutting across me. When I confronted him, he apologised profusely and said "I didn't see you"

Just got back from my first proper outing on my first road bike.
Done about 11 miles in just under an hour.

Need some more suitable clothing, jeans and steel toe cap boots just won't do (in my defence i left my cycling shoes at home, and I'm a long drive away lol )

A 12 & 1/2 mile ride for me, around the lanes near Shrewsbury. Memorable moment, a kamikazi rabbit running out in front of me on the path by the river and then darting around as it didn't know where to run! Lovely sunny evening for it :sun:
