I live quite close, but haven't been on there that much because 99% of the time they are live firing. I've now found a website where I can check for the odd day or half day when there are no excercises so I intend to explore on there a bit more when I can. I'm still not sure if you are really allowed up there even when they are not firing. It's a bit disconcerting 'cos there's shell cases and military detritus all over the place! There are some good trails on there and the scenery is absolutely stunning. I try and go up there for the rallying as well, usually somewhere near Dixies if I go to Wales Rally GB. If you like derelict stuff, there are plenty of buildings on the range which are pretty shot up!

Unexpected lovely weather for commuting today. Had a nice chat to a motorcyclist who I had let out earlier on in the ride this morn, made the 3minute wait at the lights tolerable  Then engaged in some minor SCR with a chap I see quite often on a Bianchi.

Cracked 19mph avg on my 10 mile commute home too before getting in to find a huge chocolate cake my wife has made for my birthday. Some days just stack up to be excellent!

14:11 Hr and no one ridden today?

good lord!

22 miles with my better half and she was great the first 11 in the head wind and rain second 11 tail wind and sun shine, really was great fun both really enjoyed it, she is improving all the time. if had the money would love to treat her to a road bike with a triple on it not that she uses the pixie ring much

Got to get her one, bought or should i say built one for the other half for christmas, and she just loves it, her mtb is gathering dust. lol

Same route as yesterday

But first half was much MUCH slower. Hip hurt and I was groggy. Just not up for it at all

Second half much quicker than yesterday resulting in a near 2min reduction on yesterday's time over the sane 15 miles

60 miler. Train to Carfin. Up over the top over Harthill & Blackburn almost down to Livingston. Return over Bathgate, Armadale, Coatbridge, Lenzie and Clyde Tunnel back to Paisley. Cold bikeride, but also very good. Will publish route with map and picture at the link in my signature tomorrow as 'Bathgate'.

A wet ride home, but chuffed with 4th overall on Strava for the Alderley bypass segment with an average speed of 28.2 mph, sure on a dry warmer day I could get a little higher.
