34-odd miles with local club. Only 5 of us as the youth part of the club were doing a day's training near Blackpool. Anyway a good loop around Garstang and the Cragg Vale (IIRC) Reservoirs. Had a snack at The Barn in Scorton. The Priory didn't have a single bike outside it - the others said that they don't make cyclists welcome anymore. Well, The Barn did. I didn't care for the oceans of tat but as a cafe it's fine.

Knackered after 86 hilly miles from East Devon to meet friends near Wellington, then continue to Watchet and back over Wheddon Cross to Bampton, and lanes to drop them off. Then home in darkness. Perhaps I shouldn't have taken the fixed. Lanes utterly filthy, drizzle and mist. But we could see Wales.

Mixed fortunes on the commute this morning. I did my 1st 17mph+ avg. . . and I fell off.

Came to a very easy right hander and discovered that something had dropped a load of shale/dust onto the road, the front washed out, I caught it, but by this point I was heading for the kerb, which I hit. Landed with a very stylish and cool (Honest) roll and surprisingly didn't feel any pain at all, bike was ok too. . . . scratches on the left hood now to match the ones on the right :S

I'd show off my manly road rash but I think posting pictures of your bum cheeks is frowned upon.

After 17 days off the bike (unwell then snow) I got out this morning for just a short spin of 4 miles and that was enough for me!

Nice ride, 20 miles ish, flat ride, which meant 1600 feet of climbing, just a steady effort, nice to be dry and warm, and have thinner gloves on etc. Started to break in the Pro race 3 tyres, certainly got up to speed well and rolled nicely.

Only 10 miles for me still feeling the after effects of a cold dont feel 100% yet but quite pleased as the route I did I managed It 4 minutes quicker than when I last did that route on jan 6th ^_^

78.7 miles on the carbon, first time out on the Ribble Sportive this year. Left Clevedon at about noon, headed for Wrington and then climbed Burrington Coombe, along the spine of the Mendips and then doubled-back for a nice descent into Cheddar Gorge. Still snow melting up on the hills and was a fair bit damper than the rest of the ride. I then took the road to Wedmore, on to Glastonbury, Street and then the A39 to Bridgwater, turning off at Woolavington and ending up back in Wedmore, Cheddar and back on the A38 and then through Winscombe and Congresbury, home.

Very windy in places and, I think, colder by a few degrees than they said it would be. Many thanks to the peanut in a transit and trailer who thought for a moment about my priority over a single-lane bridge, and then reasoned that I was a cyclist after all and that therefore the same rules didn't apply.

I uttered, gesticulated even, my justified outrage followed by a suitable profanity.
