oh yeah..sorry, not too good at mental maths;) yeah since ive been off in june Ive aimed for 100 a week, but yeh, sixth form and dark evenings will reduce that probably by halfxx(

alos, what have you had to replace that has worn out on your SCR4 over those 5000 ish miles? In my 1000, so far my SCR3 has needed a whole new rear wheel and new chain... as well as the obvious pedals/tires update

New chains, on my 4th or 5th one of them. Had another cassette on, needs another because this one is worn out. Changed the bar tape and brake pads.
Besides that nothing else.
Although i am happy when a chain lasts over a month! But this one on now has asted longer due to me leaving it to wear abit more, me not using it all the time because i have the fixed.
Oh, new tyres aswell, the Kendas i had worn right down.

Absolutely evil headwind going to work. Lots of broken tree branches and
twigs in the road. Coming home was great with the tailwind though.

Quick run over to Knaresborough to check out the cafe.It is now under new management. Our smashing Gail has retired.New owner has refurbished the cafe and welcomes cyclists. There is a CTC sticker in the window. So get down to Riverside Cafe on Waterside for some good grub. Also saw the Town Crier.

30miles today. Average of 18.12mph on the fixed. Which i like:smile: Last hill had a head wind up it. Its abit of a bitch now because they have put that top dessing on it, and it has speed bumps so own on the left of some speed bumps there is big-ish piles of the stuff. Ended up going in between the speed bumps for a few. Luckily where the hill kicks up, its normal road surface so i dont have to worry about the wheel spinning, which is what i was worried about yesterday when they were laying it down.
Good ride today though, i got a text and didnt notice, thought someone was playing my ringtone:wacko:
Wheres the warm weather gone aswell!!

6.7 miles total commuting, then went out tonight for a beer with a mate. Did 16 miles, 8 there, 8 back. The 8 back were in the dark, and a good test of my lights. One of the BEST rides this year, good ride, good company, good beer and good lights for ride home. Brilliant. Quite a positive chap at the moment.

Lovely 28 miles today in the rain:biggrin: Completely soaked, slightly cold, but it was a nice hilly-ish ride on the fixed.
Any volunteers for cleaning the bike?

I took one look at the forecast and decided to go out last night. Done 33 miles yesterday, the first half in the light then I stopped at my parents for tea and came home in the twilight/ dark. Apart from the neds/ chavs I met on the way back it was an enjoyable ride. Just the commute today and it could of only been around 6.6, I went the shortest way.

Wet wet wet...but no wind
I can handle the rain....but its a true pleasure when theres no wind. Awesome ride, albeit shortish and steady.
Is it just me, it seems like the wind hardly ever stops.
