first ever ride with aero bars today. took the fixie out for 27 miles. lovely long suffolk country roads. only a few short sharp hills... ALL GRAVY! going to get up early tomorrow and do another 25 before work (my commute is only 2 or 3 miles if ridden directly).

Windy! Went out into the wind thinking I would then be able to motor back with the wind behind me, but it didn't seem to happen. The only time the wind dropped was on the roads around Rutland water. A total of 45 fairly hilly miles around Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Only did a few miles because of time, but that all but killed me, did my usual hills, but then realised someone had altered the handlebars and they kept wobbling and I got parinoid about that.

Windy though I tell you!

Only did my commute & popped to the lbs to get p repair kit (under 12 miles in total). Its a nice night but windy I done 94 miles yesterday an I'm worn out got a light cold, I think I'll have an early night.

Glad i wasnt the only one on here working today Did my commute on road (rather than trail) today, 16 miles mainly into the wind on the way to work & the wind pretty much stayed the same for a change , so had a nice tailwind on the way home

Did a rather hilly (by Essex standards) 48 mile loop from Wickford to Fyfield, almost all on B and C roads. Perfect weather, very little traffic, fabulous roads - absolutely lovely. Had an excellent pate and creme brullee at a pub too. :-)

I didn't have to go out today, and did not feel like battling with the wind just for a leisure run. However I managed 5 miles into the wind and a fast five home after reading the encouraging words of our yenrod on this thread

I really enjoyed tonight's run. The first 16 were hard work against the wind, I stopped at my parents watched the tour of Ireland, then cycled back with the wind behind me.

i didnt i went for run instead, i have been on the mountain bike all weekend and a few days this week so fancied a change

Did 45 yesterday with a big hill half way round. Ran out of steam,stopped, got back on but fell off as hill was too steep to start on.Walked 20yds ,got back on as pride was at stake and got to the top after 10 mins but felt good and finished ride on high
