Paltry short commute for me today...its all i ever seem to have time for lately
Got the winter Raleigh out...god bless mudguards
Little windy...quite rainy, no problem...dress accordingly and get on with it ;)
Not like the guy who climbed out of a taxi near work...then lifted his bike out as well...wimp

Windy 32 miles done today, still got an average of 18.91mph though:becool:
Needed a new tyre for the fixed so went to LBS for one, not a folding one so that was a laugh getting that home. Still went up bank hill faster then this guy on a carbon bike though, home hand on the bars one hand on the tyre:laugh:
Reckon average would of stayed up higher if i hadnt of had the tyre, but alwell, was still powering along with it, and got given some nice room.
Oh, and on a tight left hander where i move right of the middle of the left turning lane to take it fast(cars take it slow, its past a 90' turn with a centre thing, i got honked at by some old guy who then under took me(wide lane, so i signal left and stay to the right) and gave me some abuse. I then powered off after him and he slammed the brakes on, so i moved to his right and he powered off. Assholia

I was out in hailstone in winter, that did hurt. Sleet is another killer.

how many miles have you done? you havent had that bike that long have you?

5812miles on the Giant. Got it weekend before xmas. Then 343 on the fixed.

55 miles done today on the fixed. 17.34mph average speed, so not too bad. Did the sprinting for signs thing again. I got 6, person after me got 4:becool: That was some fun, the fixed really was faster off the mark then the geared bikes, i was able to quickly get it up to 28mph and just sit down and spin. Infact one person on a full carbon bike that i was riding next to on the front didnt accelerate as fast as me when the sprint for the sign wasnt that big.
Oh, and got a max speed of 36.53:eek: Abit scary, but really good fun

A little late now, but out last night for an hour....thunderous lightning  within 20 minutes of setting out. Then sharp heavy, but short showers, then i had to ride home in the gloom...without any lights :blush: Bugger, doesnt it get dark early now

Right now..any ride is a good ride. They're few and far between at the mo...too busy:angry:

oh yeah..sorry, not too good at mental maths;) yeah since ive been off in june Ive aimed for 100 a week, but yeh, sixth form and dark evenings will reduce that probably by halfxx(

alos, what have you had to replace that has worn out on your SCR4 over those 5000 ish miles? In my 1000, so far my SCR3 has needed a whole new rear wheel and new chain... as well as the obvious pedals/tires update
