13 mile ride tonight after work, innit getting mild ;). I had to take off the glove liners, skull cap and undo the zip on my jacket to cool off a bit.
Nice pacey ride considering i havnt done much mileage lately...no tiredness in the legs, just felt nice and easy.
Christ, its only 13 miles  and yet it seems like a mountain to climb to get back to last years mileage.
Still...good to be out in the mild weather (albeit damp).

Had a fall. Ripped my shorts, tights, gloves and jacket. Got cuts and bruises on my right side. Not a good ride

I went up to Isle of Skye Road today Chris, it was bloody cold coming back down into Holmfirth. Cars still gave plenty of room though, visibility must have been good enough for the cagers.

A leisurely 1.1 mile sprint to calibrate the sensor on the geared road bike. Confused the hell out of a driver as I overtook him just after doing the 180 at the roundabout

50km with eck in fairly dreich conditions.

Our planned route was changed slightly due to a large angry looking Highland Bull standing in the middle of the road ;) I think the ring in his nose was bigger than my wheels ;)

We decided a few tons of bull would win any encounter so decided to double back to the nearest junction and headed homewards.

Braver man than me. Used to ride me motorbike over there daily when I worked in Manchester. Hard to tell sheep from fog at times!

Rats, I was in and around Windsor most of the day. Met a friend at the cafe by the bridge at 11, then spent 4 hours riding around, finishing with lunch at Zero 3 in Eton High Street.

We didn't spend all of the time on the roads, though. He was on an MTB (which he ditched twice) and I was on the Tricross. Here's a few pics for anyone who thinks that cyclo-x bikes are just a fashion thing. I can't imagine making my Secteur look like this...

Great day out, though, fantastic weather and good to ride with a friend who I have known for many years because of an interest in motorbikes. The chap I was with has been riding MTB's for many (20+) years and has a lovely looking full susser but is looking for a road bike. Good times. ;)

Pre dawn, pre work (yes its Sunday and i'm working ) ride, just a quick 12 miles. No traffic, roads are very damp, moderately cold...but better than nothing
So so nearly had a blackbird through my rear wheel . Two of them chasing each other, one whirled round on itself, the other followed, i heard the desperate flap of feathers as it braked as it headed straight for my wheel . He got away ok, so alls well.

I set off yesterday in the sunshine to do 4 miles on a clean bike with civvies on and wearing leather gloves. It was lovely, very smooth . I think it turned out to be more like twenty five miles after all the detours I took, I wasn't counting and didn't care.

I went through the park.

To the mill. Which looked like this last April.

And popped up here to look at the view.

A good relaxing trip out with a visit and hold of my cousins premature boy at the hospital along the way.
He's five and a half pounds now and doing well so far, which is nice.
