Just a shade under 50 miles yesterday, lovely ride, half in gloriuous winter sun, half in fog. Here's a pic  (OK, OK, I played about with the colour of the sky a bit, but that's all)

Have your bars slipped down or are they meant to be like that?

No, it might look a bit odd, but I like 'em like that  They were kind of set 'normally' when I got the bike, but when pulling the brakes, it didn't feel right. Now it does  Been like that for 3 yrs or so now.

Circa 20miles commuting today...man alive it was cold this morning, so much so it made me mans bits painfully uncomfortable :cold:
Strange, it wasn't that cold, just cold, but i havn't suffered that before !!!

Commuting last night, i was waiting at a set of TLs, up came a colleague on his Triax racer. he's a bit headstrong and raced off in front. A quick spurt and i caught him up, rode alongside for a while, then off i went leaving him to his own devices.
Met him this morning..a catalogue of excuses and any other day he's have had me :cold: Yeah yeah

He did something similar earlier this year, paced alongside for about 1km, then said...'can you feel the burn yet ?'
'Bugger me no....i havnt even warmed up yet'.

;) he just turned down a side street and disappeared :biggrin:

Today was coldish but I was warm apart for my face which was freezing though so maybe time for a balaclava. I did a really stupid thing though, forgot about breakfast! So about 10 miles in I'm wondering why I can't put any power down & have averaged 14mph, it doesn't hurt I just have no energy then realise I've not eaten anything & take a gel... the remaining 30 miles just get faster & faster. Shame I had to cut the ride short due to an appointment, still went out and put in another 20 miler latter.

Not many miles, not much snow (just a shower or two here) but the edges of the roads are verrry icy, you can see it glistening.
On the plus side, a very very cold but strong tailwind home tonight.

13 miles of packed snow, ice & wet tarmac... given a nice laugh at the numpty in a car that had to overtake me... bike with studded tyres has a lot more grip than a car with normal road tyres

Got exceedingly cold big toes on the way home today. Where I live certainly felt a couple of degrees colder than where I'd come from.

I did a nice detour via the health food shop that sells very good beer.
Shame some of them are for presents ;)

Would that be the one in Top Mossley? They've an excellent range of bottled ales.

Only a quick 8 miles for me today at tea time (hence the quick, missus was hungry). Roads were fine provided I stayed out a bit more than normal.

It certainly is!

I'm quite partial to the Millstone beers and haven't tried many of the others. Yet.
They're doing 8 pint mini kegs of Greenfield ales - 6 to choose from.
Book early for Christmas to avoid disappointment.

And I managed not to take the road past the Pike and stuck to the main road down to Ashton, unlike last year ;)

Great views from up there tonight.

Thanks for that, not been in there for a week or two, must go and stock up if possible!
