Just being out for a quick 20 miles around the local hills. Blue sky, wispy clouds, very wet roads and lots of cow poo.

Circa 20 / 25 miles today (day off work)...lethargic, just can't get going like in the summer.
Still, nice ride, weather was mild, wind was gentle...that lovely tailwind section where you breeze along with hardly any effort ;)

Nice to ride in the daylight, 90% of my time on the bike is spent in the dark at this time of year.

Total riot on the way home as thanks to a party 'lunch' I was fuelled up for a monster run. The 3.5 miles through town was a b**th but was rewarded with just under 21 miles of fairly clear smoothish back roads all to my self to let rip on.

Lost the back end of the bike on some mud coming to a junction just managed to get out of the clips and stay upright to the amusement of the car driver who passed me at the junction. Scrote threw a plastic bottle at me on the way home, despite of the foregoing thoroughly enjoyed getting out in the sunshine.

11 miles this morning on the Boardman to celebrate the fact it had stopped raining for the first time since I got it. Didn't have time to take the clipless pedals off the MTB so was on flats which felt odd after a few weeks of clipless. Good run though, set me up for the day.

Went for a spin with Fairweather this evening. We both commented on how warm it was and settled down at an easy pace. As we were drawing back up to Fairweather's abode the first spots of rain appeared. By the time I'd made it back home I was soaked through. But, as it was so mild, I wasn't cold at all. In fact I rather enjoyed it!

Got to work too early, may as well make the most of the time, so a few circuits round the streets of Peterborough.
Very pleasureable

My ride was a cold, foggy & very alarming 50 miles. The alarming bit was though it was foggy about 50% of motorists didn't have any lights on or had side lights with typical visibility around 50-70m!

Then there's the other end of the scale...very light fog and motorists who switch on every available light when it seems so uneccessary. Unless you're doing 100mph in a 30 zone, there's no way in the world you're not going to see them even with normal lights on.

4 commutes in one day for me (yesterday)...punctured on the second, walked home, about 2 miles, then got out the Bianchi and then monked about whether they had salted the roads lately

Just a commute, but a mile from home on the way out the spoke with a kink in it finally snapped.

I've been keeping an eye on it for just over 6,000k. Glad I didn't rush and fix it earlier. Wheel kept true so no need to fettle on the way in.
