28 miles. 13 miles into a headwind and F*CKIN hilly. 15 miles back in a roundabout fashion, not as hilly, but damn cold and NO tailwind!!! Over 15mph though, so doing good with average speed despite the hills.

Nice 17-mile commute to work this morning. Nice 17-mile commute home from work this evening. The only problem was the work bit in the middle. Can I retire, please sir, I'm bored with this game?

Just over 30 miles today. Long section of the slight wind and a small section of hill. Did it pretty slow though. 1:39 which gave me an average of 18.16. Should of been up in the high 18's of low/med 19's today. Still its a decent speed.
Yesterday was slowish, some commuter tried to race me for some reason, Didnt get very far, i just sat infront of him and let him try and keep there. Went to someones house to get some more inner tubes, and to TSW(LBS) to sort out my rear wheel for the fixed. Doing it for a good price so i was happy.
Oh, got some music on the bike now. I got a free mount from Nokia at the GNBR on sunday and it holds my phone nicely. So i can turn on some music as i am going along, and even over the wind noise i can hear it. It can also hold my i-pod. Its a good mount, even going over roughground, cattle grids or level crossings the phone doesnt move at all. Not bad for a free-be.

25 mile jaunt around the reservoir fully loaded with all 4 bags and tent etc...just a quick test ride to make sure all was well when loaded up...nice sunny day, bit windy..lot's of confused looking drivers when they saw me, and kids waving at me on the high street!

54 miles today, warm and broken cloud with light winds.
bit of a wasted journey as we went to ribble to get a tyre which they didn't have in stock at the shop!
but we needed the ride to make sure the panniers and lights diidn't fall off, so it was a good test before our 200 at the weekend.
good ride out and back by quiet backroads with not too much traffic.
their loss is chain reactions gain.

Today is what cycling is all about. For the past two weeks.I have tried to get to Bolton Abbey and back before i have to be at school to pick up daughter no 2.Well i failed on both occasions. Not today.Went out with David my buddy who is training for his Le Jog ride July 18th.We went a different way.Missed out Otley altogether after leaving Bramhope we went straight onto the Ikley bypass.Zoom before i knew it we were in Bolton Abbey and the Cavendish Tea Rooms.Plenty of time to amble back via Otley after a cuppa and Tuna sandwich. Now hear this in Otley over another cuppa and fruit cake.We spoke to two cyclists who we had not seen before Joe was 87 and riding a Woodrup and his lady not even his wife was 80.And she was on a Giant FCR 1 mountain bike. Two wonderful people to talk to.87 and 80 still cycling how cool is that?.So we have all got years and years in front of us.

Nipped off for a quick 30 after work, weather held out for me it was beautiful at 5.00am but by 6.30 was overcast pretty dreary and threatening to rain.
Plenty of dickhead car drivers about one nearly took me out whilst I was stopped at lights mind you I had the last laugh.
Coming down the Coast Road back into Blackpool was turning a good speed about 25mph when I spied a Metro in front tootling along got on the drops and hammered it to catch him and overtake him computer showed 33mph was brilliant actually put a couple of yards into him and held him off for about 15 seconds felt like longer but I am a realist, it made my ride anyway after all the crap driving I had to put up with. Can't see him telling many people about being overtaken on his way to work by a guy on a bike in lycra.

70miles done today. Not very fast, was a tad hilly. Went to my favourit cafe, but the fit girl wasnt there:sad: Only 4 of us out today on the club ride, was abit hard going into the wind.
The others stopped to put on water proofs, i didnt have any waterproofs to put on, and within in few mins' it had stopped raining and just before we went up a hill they had to stop to take them off.
Flew up the hills at a good speed, legs hurt abit but got to the top way before anyone else. Am still amazing at climbing:becool:
Strong wind on the way back, could only just hear the music from my phone, had to take it off on the way because it started to rain.
Met an idiot in a car. My bike handling skills are still amazing, got away and clear of him. Bombed it home and had to dodge some chav on a bike who was weaving all over the road.
In all, a pretty good ride.

Forty mile loop round the local lanes with Frustruck as my ride guide. Really good fun, although his original mileage estimate was 7, so we were slightly out... No idea where we went, I was lost after the 3rd corner, so he will have to fill you in. Was quite strange going out with someone loads better than me, not used to it at all, although he claims he didn't slow down very much (I think it is more a case of not wanting to completely knock my confidence, but hey...)

It was fun anyway, legs nicely tired now!!! ;)

my first ride for over a month having been chasing a chest problem and being diagnosed with exercise asthma. i have been running to see how the inhaler benfits as it was the most dibilitating exercise before. i did an hour in the woods on my trek and thoroughly enjoyed it, i came back before being to knackered and regretting, so still on a post ride high ;)
