Nice ride today. Just over 30 miles done. Was nice, dry and warm and kept a good speed going up some of the hills. Saw a friend from school, pulled over to chat her up(if you can do that in lycra:laugh:) then came home, and here i am;)

Rode on Sunday, met Punky and Jane at the start of the Wheels for Wildlife, then off over the hills to Sladburn for a pint in the 'Hark to Bounty', nice village but there was a stream rally on, some of the machines were gently raining soot over everything, coulden't take the continuous music from a hurdy-gurdy so moved on o'er the hills to Sawley, wanted a pint in the 'Spread Eagle' but it's being rebuilt, so off home in a headwind. About 70 miles all in, must eat more as I nearly ran out of energy in the last 20 miles...

oh there were a string of many riders, in ones and twos coming towards me near Dunsop Bridge from Slaidburn, looked like an Audax crowd (Beards! Sandals! Steel frames!)

Joe...lycra is not good street cred, especially at your age !!!! You'd do better in a Corsa with a bazooka exhaust and a 1.0 engine !!!!

I dont no, she seemed abit impressed when she asked how far i'd been in how old and i told her.
She said she will come on a ride with me but i cant wear that(the lycra) so i said i dont mind being naked but only if she is  Didnt seem to keen though

You seem to have it covered Joe. So let me get this straight; the first line is that you ask her if she'd like to get naked with you?
What the hell, I'm going to give it a go:biggrin:

had a good ride today. my son wanted to ride a local hill climb course so i plotted a route over crown point (burnley)so we stayed out that way over worsthorne. i've never seen as many hills ,6000ft height gain in 50 miles!
we don't usually ride out that way because of the traffic and busier roads.
i have to remember to check ride profiles as well as trying to miss out main roads and town centres.even my son said it was hilly, which is a first for him.did well though only had a headwind for the last 15 miles and it stayed dry.
