Bought a new bike yesterday for commuting to my new work location. Of course had to take it out in the afternoon for a trial run, it was sunny, hot, humid and some fresh breeze but I did enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made the effort and got up for the B String Club run, was thinking of a lie in but riding won, nice 53 miles all though the wind was bloody strong on the way out, nice al fresco cafe stop in Scorton and home to put my feet up and watch the Giro.

had a good 60 mile ride out round settle and austwick. the wind of all evilness (as my daughter calls it) was still blowing a gale right into our face for the first 25 or so miles , but it was a bit more helpful on the way back.nice and sunny with high cloud.

Today i rode a few bikes.
The Penny Farthing was the best. It was a newer one though. Good fun. Got good control with it. Couldnt track stand it though:sad:
Bikecar was nice, got that going quick.
Recumbent only took me about 2mins to learn how to ride it. Bit wobbly at first, but soon got the hang of it.
Those bikes with 2 pivots on i managed to ride aswell.
Trike was good to ride, bit slow and heavy though. But then it was a big wheeled trike.
Cant do the mini bikes for long, my feet are too big.
Went on a tandem with this young girl(too young for me) and went round the track for abit.
Scooter thingy. Better then what you would have thought, gave a nice smooth ride.
Got soaking wet, and havent gone too far, but had some good fun.:biggrin:

I had a pleasant ride today, 66 miles, it was windy though. A mini rally decided to go along the same route as me , out of 100 passes or so I got one bad one and the effects of that was limited; I think all cars should be minis . It was the steepest ride I've recorded; the Edge says it was 20% at max, motion based says it was 21.1%.

BTFB - Rain? What rain??

Good to have a decent ride in decent weather at last. Did the same route I did on Saturday (which was an extremely windy ride), but this time it was much more pleasant and faster!

Yes, that sounds like Fnaar country all right, what with a dyke being a dyke and Neuk being Dutch for f*ck.

 This pleases me no end! It's a pub/place I cycle past evry weekend!

Hottest day of the year so far (here, that is; Cambodia was 40 in January! ;)), about 27. IT'S BEEN HOT AND SUNNY ALL WEEK AND WILL CONTINUE NEXT WEEK AS WELL!

Showered and shaved after work before cycling home; felt clean and refreshed for 5 minutes, but due to the sun cream I had put on, by the time I got back, my face resembled a car windscreen with all the bugs and insects stuck to it!

And saw some strange-looking insects in the forest; they looked like small Lancaster bombers! Managed to slalom around them, though.

Short commute home, dinner and straight out with the wife for a steady 10 to 15 miles, stop at the local for a pint of Bank's Bitter and Bacardi Coke...perfect end to a riverside ride

I seem to have almost stopped the 'fitness' rides...and partake of more and more steady, enjoyable and shared rides. Maybe i'm getting old
