Today 40 glorious sunny miles back home after staying at my friend's in Brum last night. We ran into Si Davies on the run out of Brum.
Yesterday 65 miles including 8 consecutive relentless killer miserable hill intervals to kick us into shape for the year.

Went over to Aberfoyle for the Evans sportive. My wife and I did the short 32 miles route mainly because the weather was not great and I am trying to ease her back into a decent mileage. Stunning scenery and relatively quiet roads - but whoever thought that tour buses are suitable vehicles for single track roads needs their head seeing to. A bloody menace on the roads. In a short 10 mile road we came across 5 of them!!! Blue rinsers 'doing Scotland'.

Tried and falled to ride the route of the Cheshire cat sportive. (see my blog)

I had to turn tail and head home after the bike got damaged while it was left unattended.

68 miles

Out to the Waterside cafe at Benson in Oxfordshire, I hit the wall on the way back, 55 miles, just too much after yesterdays club 10 season opener, which I road out and back to so did 25 miles total obviously ten of which were at TT speed, feeling pretty tired now.

I did ten miles,to work.

Myself and Andy (ilovebikes also of this this CC parish) did a hilly 40 miler. From Orpington to Downe and Cudham where he tore up the 25%er, waiting for me at the top whilst I spun up, back wheel slipping.. on to Eynsford where Andy decided not to go through the Fjord on his newly wheeled (Mavic Pros) Specialized.. On to Farningham, a five mile long drag of a climb up to Brands Hatch, down to and through the gorgeous Knatts Valley.. back to Farningham, Climbing again to Crockenhill & Chelsfield.. back down to Orpington.. and home to take the bike to bit's to give it a thorough clean...

3338ft of climbing.. a good workout...

That's a tenner please Andy

Can't for the life of me understand why you were not indoors watching Manchester United win yet another trophy Ian...:becool:

(or did you make it back in time? I understand that your team struggle to gain recognition on the sports field and I thought..etc...)

Good ride again - well done. Me working. Envious.

ian, I'm sure you must know a hill on the North Downs that I came down once. It is heading south , very steep and has a left hand u-turn halfway down, where I nearly lost it by going too fast. I'd guess it was west of Biggin Hill.
