First ride for 2 weeks due to getting broken ribs courtesy of a mate crashing into me and ending up hitting a tree..

35 miles, Malvern-Storridge-Acton Green-Bishops Frome, cup of tea and meet some club mates at Monkton Garden centre then back home the way I came. The lanes are in a bad state at the moment, biggest pot hole was 4 ft across and about 10 inches deep and many were large enough to be a serious hazard..

Ribs held up well:smile: but standing on the pedals was not an option..

Another 100 miles again today - Yay.
My legs failed on me just 5miles from the end. I was so annoyed at having to crawl along for the final few miles.

Just shy of 40 miles today. But there was quite a bit of climbing involved.

The wind was not very helpful as it always seemed to be in my face, even when coming back!

No pics, as I forgot to charge the batteries. ;)

Did a short 17.7 mile trip towing my daughter, head wind uphill, so it was quite a workout. By pure chance I met an old lady who turned out to be Mark Beaumont's Grandmother. We had quite a good blether about his exploits around the world.

52 miles today - still trying to iron out those hills for the "Tour of Hampshire CC ride" on 4th April.
I felt cold throughout the ride (was it just me?) and the wind wasn't helping either. Thought I'd have a nice run back for the last 20 miles but the wind seemed to change direction ;)

a recce for the London to Brighton fnrttc, taking pics of holes in the road to badger the councils with (they'll do nowt, so my luminous paint get an outing). Anyway - a bit of a bottle job going down Reigate Hill, which proved to be useful, as, taking the left curve after the sharp righthander I happened across a queue of traffic waiting for the level crossing.......and, another two miles of Lonesome Lane has been resurfaced!

Which means that the most delicious cycling road on all of the planet bar none, a sensuous, swirling smooth track, full of curves just waiting to be taken advantage of, is now even better, even better than before. Apexes were clipped, and my head was down for anything pretending to be a downslope. Each hollow was ironed out with gear changes - no standing, no rocking, no shifting in the saddle, only the play of g-forces which Floreana, my bike of bikes, slid through like a knife through mayonnaise. Even User10571's Bend went well (it doesn't always) - right over to the opposite side of the road before clipping the hedge with my left shoulder, and straightening on my side of the road (daytime rules apply), losing only two gears in the process. I am a happy man.

Phwooah...That must be the most eloquent, almost erotic report on a ride in this entire thread ;):biggrin:;) Nice one.

Mine..nothing as sensuous as Dellzeqqs sadly....20 to 30 miles, uneventful, but i love these temperatures...you can plough along, not too cold, you dont get sweaty

Just 15 miles to due to family visiting for lunch. I do not think I have seen so many out in NE Fife before counted over 15 riders out on a variety of machines I even managed to pass one or two.

I did my first night ride for a while, I'd like to thank the driver who sat behind me on the totally unlit back road, lighting the way ;). It was my first outing with the Tesco cree, I didn't really get see if it was effective there  but I got the chance on the road to the QE yard, its good . I rung home and my Dad said I did the 17.5 miles in under an hour

Edit: just put my route into bikely, it was only 16miles, I never went by the coast.

What a nice weekend that was.
I was out at 8.15 on Saturday morning and did 50 miles before lunch - spent the rest of the day chilling with my mate Lisa and eating cake...and on Sunday went down to the Chilterns and did 22 miles off road. I was down to two jerseys and a pair of longs for the first time in months!

Did a nice 50 miles out over Oakenclough and Harrisend was misty at the top so imagined Phil Ligget commentating 'that looks like mondobongo coming out of the mist it is mondobongo'. Headwind slowed me coming down just got to 40.

No longs for me mild enough for shorts and knee warmers, will be in shorts soon I reckon.
Nice to get a half decent mileage in have been a bit lazy of late just doing 25 mile loops.

mindful of the CC Central Scotland ride next month, i decided to have a pootle around this afternoon to get some miles in. Had a really enjoyable ride up to Kingshill plantation, then down to Allanton and up to Kirk O'Shotts. Didn't enjoy the main road through Salsburgh so much mind you, but all in all an excellent afternoon.

I had forgotten just how hard hills can be, longest time yet spent in the granny ring!
