This afternoon we walked around the Warren on the off chance of any white tailed eagles kicking around. True to form, there wasn’t!

Very little about. But there was a very lovely great black backed gull. I was very thankful to it…. It’s a heavy camera and a long walk!

This afternoon I went to Mountbatten to see if there were any sheltering seabirds. If there were they were mostly sheltering out of my sight.
There was a single Gannet.

After that I channeled my inner Hokusai.

I’ve heard rumours from the sparrows in my garden that the sap is rising……

We had a pair of Robins, all going well until a sparrowhawk intervened. But a week later we have a pair again so either two new ones or they move quickly round here.
As for the wood pigeons, its positively pornographic by the French windows!

Long tailed tit

Marsh tit with a robin

I think a greater spotted woodpecker oh and a muntjac on the floor.

And the scale of the picture is very unusual. It looks like a miniature Muntjac and a giant woodpecker!

The woodpecker is about 8 ft away and the muntjac is about 50 ft away and 20 ft lower if it helps

certainly looks like a male Blackcap - have you dad them all winter ? they are a migratory bird but it is becoming more common for some to overwinter here in the south of the country. climate is certainly changing and nature will change with it

I used to love North Norfolk in the winter and seeing the huge never ending skeins flying over.
