certainly looks like a male Blackcap - have you dad them all winter ? they are a migratory bird but it is becoming more common for some to overwinter here in the south of the country. climate is certainly changing and nature will change with it

No it's not a regular visitor and it was just the one

Yesterday was another day of wildlife photography with my mate Rob. He's bought a new camera and was desperate to try it out - the cursing as his muscle memory kept him pressing the wrong buttons was hilarious ^_^

Anyway, using my tried and trusted Nikon D780 I managed to get these. First up is a Magpie. Fortunately, there was another one just out of shot so two for joy :okay:

For the first time in three years I saw a Kingfisher. He flew up the canal and came to rest on a branch directly opposite where we were stood. He eyed the water for about 15 minutes before clearing off without actually doing any fishing.

There were literally hundreds of Tits there yesterday; Great, Blue and Coal varieties.

This Grey Heron didn't show any intention to go fishing. Normally, he would be pulling frogs out one after the other but not yesterday. Maybe he's on a diet

This Dunnock was busy watching the Tits feeding.

An unusual sight for me, my first Water Rail. It was a bit of a long way off but I managed to get a couple of half decent shots.

Enjoy :okay:
