My Robin decided to perch on the washing line whilst I was removing the clothes, he was wobbling lots but didn't seem too bothered.

Dusk last night walking the dog and as we got back towards the road I could hear some crows making quite a racket. They ought to have been in bed but something was disturbing them. They were in some low trees and a hedge backing onto a field on the opposite side of the road, and I'd seen a fox in that field a while ago. Sure enough as I stood and watched, a young fox ran through the long grass towards the gate. One of the crows divebombed it ad it ran, then wheeled back round as the other took over. Charlie crossed the road and over the wall. The crows didn't give up, with one going ahead and took station on some wires, making a fearful noise as the other swooped over the fox. Impressive mobbing!

Slow Worm in a friend's garden

Must be the season for slow-worms. Yesterday, attempting to cross a forest track. It moved into cover after I'd passed. I found it though to take a photo. It wasn't quick enough.

The cygnets are getting bigger and very tame, they came running up to me, people must be feeding them:

A pair of Woodcock seen, and also two Nightjars flying and maybe three or so churring last night on dusk, magic ! The whole family was there to experience it too.

I just saw a kestrel hovering over Beckton Alps, by the A13. They were common enough only a few ears ago but the population plummeted. It's the first I've seenin London in ages. I hope they're coming back.

Saw a red squirrel on route, whilst cycling pass Loweswater in the lakes ,
Trouble was, it moved before I could get the camera out.

I saw some of my fox family this morning for the first time in a while. They have grown substantially but one is dragging a back leg

How's the newfoundland puppy doing?

He's beyond a puppy, more a lairy teenager that's still discovering where his behaviour boundaries are. He is getting on well with my retriever bitch, which is a good thing as she seems to be a calming influence. He's a quick learner for a Newfie and very eager to please us. I'm very happy so far

Saw some cygnets' and gosling's whilst walking around Sywell Reservoir this afternoon.

Whilst driving up the M4 to Swindon I saw 4 buzzards at intervals along the route, it seems as they have taken over the Kestrels hunting ground. I did see a Kestrel but it was hovering in a field.
