Grey Heron in my pond this morning. I love Grey Herons but I've suffered serious pond damage in the past. My anti Heron fence isn't deterring so it's off to try further tactics. Heron in the garden - fine. Heron poking holes in an expensive pond liner - no thank you.

Young Woodpigeon taking advantage of a sudden rain shower to wash its wingpits. I was too slow with the camera to take a pic of its nearer, left wing raised. While I had the back door open to take this, a Great Tit flew towards me, calling loudly, with another close behind, only swerving away when it was within a metre of me! No idea what that was all about!
