Saw a solitary seal at St. Mary's Lighthouse today. Quite unusual as you usually see a whole rookery, but this fella was flying solo. I'm no expert but it did look to be in some discomfort.

Yeah, there was one, we pointed him out.
Nice chap. He'd sort of been walking around at our pace, listening to my daughter (6) rambling on. As we parted ways at the cause way he said,
"Does she ever stop?"

Yesterday on my ride I saw 2 small Woodpeckers and 2 Red Kites. Today at my brother's I saw a Peregrine Falcon flying low between the houses .

Thanks to @Dave 123 I now know this is a plume moth, but which one? I never realised there were so many species in the UK.
Tentatively identified as a Beautiful Plume, but possibly a Brindled Plume.

When I was young back in the 50's I can remember seeing pure white ones in our private hedge . They looked a bit like a skeleton .
