'Nuanced', I missed that one. I'd include in my previous post anyone pretentious enough to use that hideous word and think it makes them look 10% brighter than they really are.
i didn't say it was , I said it looked like it was. This is all in your head. I didn't say what you suggest in your last sentence because that isn't what I meant. What I wrote was not at all rude, or an attack on anyone.
...and begins a sentence with the word 'So'. There's another pet hate of mine.So... the attitude problem is confined to SC&P, is it?
Shame innit...its like an inevitability. And we're offf and running now. enjoy folks. Bye
But then, you can't be expected to know the history of all the board and posters and actually it doesn't matter. When you don't know, you drop back to working within the framework set up to moderate and there is one. It's evolved since my day of course. I also find it amusing that you think those in SCP need protection from being wound up. You think the board would change radically if some people were removed: It wouldn't, it's tone is set by some of it's oldest protaganists, they are the Yin and the Yang.I understand what you are saying, and I accept that moderators generally act in good faith. What I am saying is that those who only know the board insofar as they are alerted to it by complaints will inevitably have a particular view of it, and that view is not necessarily especially nuanced or comprehensive.

I would say no but it manifests itself a whole lot more there than anywhere else and is practiced by a much smaller group. Like i say, I think there are good reasons for that (you actually took the time to explain the frustration to me a while back) but this doesn't excuse it....its so limiting and seems to restrict any invitation to newcomers to have a go and maybe learn something.So... the attitude problem is confined to SC&P, is it?
Did you say something?I've noticed that if you write a reasonable, respectful response to something people tend to ignore it ... [test].
