Wiki says that Moffat wrote those two!
p.s. have you put a spoiler in your posts? I think you messed up the formatting, it's gone very odd at this end ...

EDIT: interesting stuff:
The Hugo Award-nominated episode is also significant for introducing the character of River Song, who went on to play an important role in future stories.

Oh yeah Moff wrote it, but did RTD tell him to put certain plot/dialogue in to sow the seed for later or was it more of a happy accident?

I've removed the spoiler as its not working apparently.

Watched a documentary on prime last evening Tubby Hayes the Great saxophonist and Ronnie's all about Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. @Fab Foodie this is divine watching for jazz fans.

Thanks for the heads-up :-)

Newly discovered on Netflix - not sure how long it's been available - Suburra Eterna, sequel to the iconic Italian film and series.

Very violent first episode, so no change there ...

Really useless peace of information, Daisy Haggard who plays the leading lady (Janet?) is the great, great, great niece of H. Ryder Haggard, the author of Alan Quartermain and King Solomon's Mines.

She's not the only interesting descendant. Great-great-nephew Piers directed a load of good stuffs, including Quatermass, and Peter Sellers' last film.
Died early 2023 - RIP and thanks, Piers!

(Oh - he was also Daisy's dad.)

I've just watched 'Have I Got News For You' with the sound down and the subtitles on. It wasn't funny at all. I turned off after 10 minutes.

Dr Who - The Giggle

Fantastic! Theres shades of Q from Star Trek in this for me, though being picky Q came after the villain in this. It started a bit ropey for me but I was wrong to doubt it and it came together strong in the 2nd and 3rd acts. The Dr will return at Christmas which is only 3 weeks off woop!

Certainly back to form. Last few seasons have been dire - enough for me not to watch.
