I feel like I could... TAKE ON THE WORLD!!
I am your father on Netflix. The story of the man behind the mask of Darth Vader, David Prowse.

He has never been invited to a single official star wars convention and is shunned by Lucasfilm.

Interesting but sad, came away with the view that George Lucas can be petty bastard.

In between here and there
Just watched the first episode of Dirty Money on Netflix. Documentary admittedly but it really is a huge wow, its all about VW. But when I watched I just kept thinking about what are the other multi national companies up to, it is so mind boggling.

Good viewing although centred around America it does cover the rest of the world and the EU part is equally shocking.

Hope the others are as interesting,

I'm still enjoying McMafia. It would have been obviously faster paced if they'd cut it down to six episodes instead of eight (hardly The Wire/Sopranos/Shield length even now!) but it's doing the slow build-up thing rather well, makes the turn of events rather more plausibly realistic, along with the obvious care, the multinational cast, etc. This one was a corker.

I'm enjoying it and today googled why it's McMafia as I couldn't see any Scots connection. Made for interesting reading.

I'd taken it as an oblique comparison between the growth of international organised crime and that of McDonalds.

The Russian actors are great, but the two British leads are utterly wooden and dreadful, imho.

I notice that since the series started on air, there has been little or no further talk of Norton as the next Bond.

Well, write it down boy ......
I thought the episode last night was super. As for James Norton, I think he's acting a good part, he's got to appear calm, collected, inscrutable and he's doing it well, but underneath you can see the turmoil. I don't think it's in the least bit wooden. Last night the mask slipped when he arrived at the hospital and I suspect there'll be further turmoils in the next two episodes. Some of the lines last night were especially chilling.
A big thumbs up from me.

My favourite episode of Grand Designs currently, with the Marine who lost his legs and arm and decided to build a properly accessible home. Absolutely incredible effort.

Later will be the last episode of Mad Men Season 5. I'm remembering why I gave up on this in the first place, looks beautiful but pretty much all the characters are deeply unlikeable by this point which is very wearing.
