Swapped over tyres, binned the knackered slicks

and fitted some Vittoria Corsa 25c’s

I also unwrapped the bar tape (you can see the hollowed out channel for the gear cable under the tape in the photo above) , I put some outer gear cable in the unused cable channel and re wrapped the bars, now looks and feels much better.

self serving virtue signaller
After getting home a few days ago to find commuter had been ridden (confession received) and crashed or otherwise damaged in the garage (strenuously denied)...

... and then found myself climbing a 1:5 without bottom gear because the gear hanger was bent...

...grrrr...

...All fettled and working now, thanks to LBS for tip of using hairspray to lubricate new hood.

Yes - Hairspray to fit, alcohol to remove
