A new helmet as my extremely well-used green-and-black Uvex Race 5 had the connecting strap break last week. They're unobtainable so I picked up a green/olive Abus Aventor that arrived today.

Also, the Wahoo Kickr 3 that son no. 2 had and I'm now using is incredibly noisy and grindy. Resistance is back once I adjusted the belt but the noise only increased. I'm going to work out how to replace the bearings but in the mean-time I've picked up a lightly-used Tacx Flux T2900 via eBay. Hopefully it'll be OK.

Also arrived is a new jersey for autumn commuting. £3.60 well spent:

Bought a set of Look Keo compatible pedals for my Carlton off the Bay of dreams, I’m thinking the silver will look slightly more retro than my existing black/grey composite pedals.

Another helmet, this time a Cannondale Cypher for commuting, via an eBay auction. No-one else bid, so I'm pleased with that and it arrived in two days.

Also a bottle cage and Raleigh saddle bag for the Raleigh SBDU I've just finished. Not quite the cage I'd like but I'm not paying silly money for one. It'll do until an Elite Moreo or the Elite Vico red/white pearlescent carbon one comes my way.

Finally, a missing Oscar Egg decal for the Carlton Franco-Italia. It's almost finished bar some tweaks and adjustments in the original build.

A few bits today.

Park Tool cable housing and inner cutters as my old non-brand ones are making a hatchet job of cable outers and they weren't great to begin with.
Some Park Tool cable end crimp pliers because I felt like treating myself.

Some new gear cable outer so I can address the tight radius on the Broam's rear derailleur cable.
A box of 100 cable end caps because I'm down to my last handful.

Some new gear cable inners - I need one for the recently acquired Carerra Intercity folding bike. The outer is probably shot too, so I should have plenty leftover from fixing the Broam to do that.

And brake inner cables and outer - I need to put a longer outer on the Wrongster, having flipped the stem to raise the bars. I suspect I may need to replace the brake cables on the folder too.

And, I should be picking up an Islabike CNOC which I'll be refurbishing as a Christmas present. I figured it won't hurt to have some extra brake cables on hand in case that needs new ones.

I was tempted to buy the cables by the box. It seems a lot cheaper in the long run.

A Thule Chariot Cougar 1 child trailer.
From fleabay for the princessly sum of £75.

Hoping to take the recipient of the Islabike for a few cycling adventures, with her balance bike strapped to the back of it so that she's suitably enthused and best place to hop on said Islabike when she receives it at Christmas time.

Edit: The only problem with this plan, is that it needs a bike with a QR axle. I was hoping the hitch was similar to the Carry Freedom one and I could use it with the Roberts Axle Project TA I have on the Broam. I do have a bike with quick release axles, but it has disc brakes. That's going to be PITA isn't it?

Sports direct pinnacle white cycling shoes, colour was a big mistake as we are entering winter. Only used them once and they covered in oil on one side. Nice shoes better the entry level over priced shimano sh*t I had been using up until now. No doubt someone will at some stage tell me how crap they are but who cares
