See my post further up the thread!

We saw Wish yesterday - 7/10 if you've got a 7 year old in tow who's just getting into Disney properly, 5/10 if you've seen them do it before and better.

That said, there are a couple of cracking tunes, and the mix of CGI and traditional animation was skilfully done. And I know it's meant to be a "Disney is 100 YAY!" celebration, but that just left me a bit cold as it's essentially an extended advert for Magic Kingdom.

Still, at least it wasn't another "live action" rehash (although a couple of those I have enjoyed). Oh and the trailer for the Wonka origins story looks good too, I think Gene Wilder would approve.
My daughter is 19 so it's a rare treat for her to take me out to the pics...took her for a couple of pints in my local after to her horror !
I'm not too sure if Saltburn is for a 7 year old or a first date though...well each to their own I guess.

On my todd at the cinema as my partner didn't fancy it.
As you would expect with a Ridley Scott film it's full of mind blowing set pieces. Though the story line is a bit embellished at times it was a very enjoyable watch. Joaquin Pheonix does his method acting bit and is superb, the actress who plays Josephene was also very good.

In the evening, Don't Look Up.
Saw it when it was first release so decided to give it a second viewing. This time it was even better the I remember. Brilliant satire.
Leonardo DiCaprio is surely one of the greatest actors of his generation.

The Killer, on Netflix.
Michael Fassbender (the android crew member in Prometheus), plays an emotionless killer for hire. A strange kind of film, slow burner, a kind if inward looking biopic .
I enjoyed it, fast paced its not, but I like something different. Some may not appreciate it.

Home Alone - 4/10

First time I've ever seen it. I fail to understand why it's popular.

Fargo (1995)

The film that inspired the series, its a deathly black comedy tragedy film. Watching it again there was a lot I'd forgotten about the film. Steve Buscemi is absolutely a little guy, kinda funny looking. Yah.

I've also found 2 new films directly related not to the film as such, but to the urban myth that the Japanese woman found dead in around 2001 that she died trying to find something (no spoilers!) she saw in the film. 1st film is a documentary about the woman's actual story, the 2ne film is fictional and treats the myth as truth as tells the story as if it was. Looking forward to watching both of those.

I didn't know about those! What are they called?

Documentary is This Is a True Story, directed by Paul Berczeller.

Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter is the fictional story.

I nearly watched the fictional one but they wanted £8 on some odd streaming service I didn't have, going to track down the blu ray / dvd instead.
