The fith element. Very dated and the effects were quite funny. Like a lot of films, it hasn't stood the test of time.
Sacrilege! It's a hoot!

Watched a few films over the last few weeks...Daughter was home from Uni so it was Netflix 🙄
Started with Fair Play about a couple who's relationship starts to go off the rails, set in America.Meant to be a tense thriller...I nodded off.
Reptile...Starring Benicio Del Torro always a bonus ! He plays a cop trying to solve a murder where nothing is as it seems.Worth a watch I thought.
Tonight's viewing is the classic, well one of my favourites Witchfinder General !
Went to a stage show Scarred For Life last night about folk horror so seems as good a pick as any, like I need a excuse to watch it for the 10th time.
You don't realise how dark that film was,all those folk horror films,TV shows from the late 60s and 70s were mad ! I know most people's favourite was the Wicker Man but for me it was Witchfinder General.Witchfinder General is class, Vincent Price is on top form with a typically OTT performance. I once described his acting as almost camp, but I think very theatrical is probably a better choice.
Never heard of that, just seen it on iplayer though so I'll give it a go.You don't realise how dark that film was,all those folk horror films,TV shows from the late 60s and 70s were mad ! I know most people's favourite was the Wicker Man but for me it was Witchfinder General.
Did you watch the sitcom The Witchfinder on BBC ? Thought it was good.

The very same...good show with lots of laughs, was on in Lancaster. The public safety films were mad looking back weren't they !I think I've been reading their marvellous twitter feed for a while - lots of clips of old public safety films (amongst other things!). And they have a podcast (with people like Muriel Gray!). Of course these may be unrelated things ...
