Apologies if this has already been done but last night I watched Prometheus and I just had to share......

what a shockingly bad film - bad acting, poor script, plot holes everywhere, junk science even by Scifi standards and all on a big budget with a glaringly obvious lead on to a sequel

I hated it too, shame as i love the Alien movies. The Space Jockey was always one of movies curiosities in Alien but Prometheus completely ruined any illusion on what it should have been.

Saw the new Godzilla on Sunday night.

Not a bad effort all things considered. Most 'destroy a city' type films these days seem designed to sell toys (Transformers, Pacific Rim etc.) but this was one of the more adult 12A films I've seen. Credit to the director for the length of build up before the reveal.

6/10.

Still watching Star Trek: Enterprise (up to Season 2 now), and I still think T'Pol makes Vulcans look pretty damn good....

I got netflix recently to watch DS9 but sadly I was mistaken and its not available. Watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer instead (wife has never seen it). Currently, Angel has got his soul back, but Buffy killed him. Oz has been revealed as a werewolf, Willow has started doing serious magic and Buffy has been expelled from school. Cordelia is still absolutely useless and Xander is a gormless idiot. It took until the end of season 2 to remember that the school principal is Armin Shimerman - Quark from DS9

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I watched the croods with my twin grandsons today. Best film I've seen in ages., ok it was a cartoon, but loved it. It really made me laugh. 7/10

Great show... although ALL my friends just give me a funny look whenever i say so... ...watched it last year up until the end of season 4... and possibly the worst episode ever. This week I've been mostly watching Dollhouse, also by Joss Weedon and starring Eliza Dushku (Faith)... it lacks the humour of Buffy but isn't bad for a schlock TV sci-fi series.

I watched The Selfish Giant grim the whole way through and ends horribly so anyone looking for a some light viewing this weekend don't watch this.

Glad you mentioned this film.

All though I have had very little free time for film watching etc over the last 2 years I have been constantly drawn to this film on supermarket/HMV shelves (l think it is the art work/packaging that got me).

I might now leave it until it costs buttons or is on terrestrial t.v.

So cheers.

I've been toying with watching Prometheus again... just to make sure it really was that bad... maybe it wasn't 'that' bad... but i don't recall it being that good either.
