Watched "kick-ass" - rather good, exceeding my expectations considerably. Though a black comedy of sorts, extremely graphic violence and quite uncomfortable viewing - think "Kill Bill" rather than "kung fu panda" - but (I think) it's being subversive / satirical rather than mere exploitation. Though funny in part that's the sheer "wrongness" of an 11 year old foul mouthed girl )(literally) chopping up the gangsters. 7/10. Not a kids' film

Kick-Ass is a cracking film... I can also recommend Super... it's in a similar vein but not a carbon copy.

Last night i watched the new Robocop... entertaining enough when Samuel L Jackson isn't on screen... but still not a patch on the original... yeah the new one has loads of flashy CGI which I'm sure would look averagely amazing in the cinema... but it's just an underwhelming romp through bog standard super hero territory. 4/10.

I'd also like to add that just because Robocop is half man, half machine, it doesn't mean that checking the crime database and CCTV footage whilst hurtling through the city streets on his robobike is big or clever... I'll give him 1/10 for road sense

The last Passenger ...rather good British thriller with few (well known) cast members and a not so hard to work out plot, but very enjoyable to watch .. I'll not say much about the film other than a bunch of people are trapped on the last train with a suicidal driver ...really enjoyed it 8/10 for me

mega python vs gatoroid . a truly terrible film , but a joy to watch . where else can you see a train swallowed by a giant snake  and Tiffany using lines from her own song as dialogue for the film . sheer genius

Willow Creek........garbage.

I Saw the Devil............i have seen this many times and for anyone who hasn't seen it,it is one of if not the finest serial killer movie ever made.A truly awesome film in every single way.It is Korean but that is a good thing,no Hollywood claptrap just pure honest acting and storytelling. And starring one of my favourite actors Choi Min-sik who also starred in the phenomenal Oldboy. 10 out 10.

Super fun Chinese action-comedy (English dudded) . If you watched Monkey back in the late 70's, you'll love this..... and there is a link between the two

TLJ should retire from acting full stop,he is lousy and i am gobsmacked he has done as much as he has.

Can't agree with you there, he's been in some properly excellent films.

Tonight I'll be watching Fire In Babylon. Already seen it, but it's a remarkable documentary about West Indian cricket. Looking forward to it. 8/10.
