Alfred Hitchcock's ' The Trouble with Harry'.
Seen it before, but it is a most unusual film.

"Minions" - essentially a prequel to "despicable me" showing the minion tribe purposeless until they can find an evil mastermind to follow.
Perhaps a notch or two below "despicable me" but it was still just over an hour of pure fun

"'Waiting for the Barbarians.' One that'll stir your blood if you hate injustice and fascism but there's a chilling reminder that we're not far off that state now.

"The Adjustment Bureau"

Matt Damon and Emily Blunt fall in love, but the men in hats don't like the idea

Linear storyline, dreadful ending, one dimensional characters... 3/10 if I am generous !

I didn't watch it last night, but spotting it on the afternoon telly ratings brought it back *shudder* from a couple of weeks back. Idly wondering what imdb rating had taken me there (6.9), having bailed out after about 25 teeth-grinding minutes, I came across this, which sounds about right:

Motorcycle Diaries - young bon vivant Ernesto Guevara travels through some of the most spectacular parts of South America, debauches young ladies, grows up and has an epiphany on social structures of society.
Despite being by the book road movie it is entertaining, thanks mainly to great chemistry between two leads.

Dear Ex - Taiwanese drama about a disfuncional family made of an indifferent teenager, overbearing Asian mother, dying father and his male lover. With more than a whiff of Wong Kar-Wai it is in parts great comedy, in others truly human drama but all together something less than a sum of its parts (awesome scenography and camera work) - maybe because it is seesawing too much between moods, or maybe because the middle sags. It is saved by the final but I cant help thinking it could have been a true classic in the mold of Chungking Express or In the Mood for Love.

Exit Wounds.

Forget Under Siege, this is Seagals best film. Lots of violence, I mean a lot, but backed up by a surprisingly taut plot. Some entertaining supporting performances, and suprisingly good weapons drills.

You've really gotta like this sort of thing to appreciate it, but if you do its a good, solid...
