Exit Wounds.

Forget Under Siege, this is Seagals best film. Lots of violence, I mean a lot, but backed up by a surprisingly taut plot. Some entertaining supporting performances, and suprisingly good weapons drills.

You've really gotta like this sort of thing to appreciate it, but if you do its a good, solid...

15:17 to Paris.

True story of the 3 Americans that tackled an armed terrorist on a train heading to Paris. A US Infantryman on leave, a Special Forces Para Corpsman, and their friend from their school days.

The film as a whole is a bit so so, but Clint Eastwood faithfully recreates the attack scene using the three original Americans. They had some balls to take him on and they slap him about good and proper, well worth sitting through the film just for that scene. The French President gave them all medals, whereas over here they'd have probably been arrested for assaut.

Not a stellar filn by any stretch, but that scene makes compelling viewing and you cant help but admire their bravery in being unarmed and yet successully facing down a terrorist armed with an AK, a pistol and a knife. But they do and they give him a serious poke for his troubles. Cheer for the good guys!

5.5/10.

Donnie Brasco.

Is it just me or do all gangster/mob films take a similar script? Young outsider meets older, low level mobster, a friendship quickly forms and in no time at all the youngster rises quickly up the ranks.

Anyway, a decent enough film so it can have 6/10.

The Lost Boys - 80's vampire flick, nothing to do with Peter Pan.
Not bad. Not great. Watchable and not too long,

"The Family Man" (2000, Tea Leoni, Nicholas Cage).

Yes, unbelievable amounts of emotional slop going on here, but you know what? I think it's a lovely film all the same and well suited to the Holiday season. I can, however, see how someone could watch this and call it cheesy or trying too much to play on emotion. I can't help but feel the last 5 minutes could have been cut out though and things left dangling so you could just think he could live on as a changed person; I think the ending was far too forced.

A nice film to watch on a rainy stormy day and some amusing scenes. 7/10.

Oh dear, I was looking forward to watching this. On one hand you might have done me a favour as now I have lower expectations of it. I do like Christopher Nolan (The Following, Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige) but I can't help but feel at around the time of Inception, things started going down hill. I'll probably still watch it though.

Tenet.

Absolute Crock of Crap.

The Man Who Never Was.

Good old fashioned war movie about Operation Mincemeat, the deception operation with the body and false documents. What really dated it was when the German agent came from Dublin through Liverpool and had to go through customs inspection.

They've remade 'The Man who never was'.
The remake is titled 'Operation Mincemeat'.
They were filming the Sicilian beach landings on Saunton Sands earlier this year.
