Batshit crazy-mental and bloody brilliant at the same time. It is like Rosemary's Baby, The Antichrist, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, and more... is not a film that everyone will enjoy, but I'll give it 10/10

Von Ryan's Express.

The tension between Sinatra's USAAF Colonel character and Trever Howard's British Major fair on sizzles, but hardens into a grudging respect as the plot unfolds.

A lot of money was spent on production. It was filmed on location in Northern Italy, real Bf109's were used, and the minimum of scale models. As a result it still looks realistic 52 years on, making it easy to suspend disbelief and settle back and enjoy the spectacle.

8/10.

I liked your post in spite of you not giving it 9/10, an excellent tale of giving Jerry a damn good punch on the nose.

The African Queen. Of course I've seen it before.But sheer quality is always worth watching again. Bogart and Hepburn both superb, and the developing relationship between them is genuinely touching. And the finale is terrific!
