The Descent (2005) - the intro to the film is utter trash with a bunch of middle class overly attractive young women seeking the ultimate challenge. I believe that the film was made this way though, what that follows is really impressive, with over the top blood and gore. I've seen it before but really enjoyed it more second time round. 7/10

Dog Soldiers (2002) - I've seen this film two times. After watching Neil Marshall's later film (above) I decided to watch again. I love this low budget British Werewolf film, it's just a class B movie, makes me laugh every time I see it 8/10

Manhunter

Superb - the fashions and music may have dated somewhat, but Michael Mann's run at "Red Dragon" still holds up.

That film is utter class. Michael Mann is superb, I love The Keep that he made, it's a brilliant underrated film with a superb Tangerine Dream soundtrack, that makes it even better.

Kingsman, the Secret Service. Starring Colin Fifth, Michael Caine, Mark Strong and Samuel L Jackson, you're going to expect this to be good. If you're like me and don't waste your life playing shoot-em-up computer games and are over about 40, I'd expect you to regret spending any time (or money) on this too-ridiculous-for-words nonsense.

It gets the ubiquitous 6/10 from me in the most tongue-in-cheek way possible.

Don't know if its been reviewed on here before, but we watched 'We better talk about Kevin' thought it was brilliant. A stunning performance by Tilda Swinton, superbly directed by Lynne Ramsay. Glued to it for its 112 minutes.
9/10 for me.
