Focus, starring Will Smith. The best film I've seen in ages, this. Well-paced, great story, attractive people committing clever and dexterous crimes; what's not to like?

This is the best 6/10 I've seen, certainly this year.

TV detective series from Belgium called Salamander, it's about a bank vault robbery where 66 selected boxes have personal items stolen, all the boxes belong to high-profile people who'd all rather the police weren't involved, enter our intrepid detective who's got a sniff of something big going down. Shaping up pretty well after the first episode.

You won't be disappointed, it's a brilliant series. Europe gives us quality like this, Braquo, Witnesses etc. And Britain has The Bill FFS.

Notable exceptions from recent years being Luther and The Fall.

Happy Valley? River? (The Bill, in passing, passed unmourned over five years back.)

One episode into River, and impressed so far. Not seen Happy Valley but have heard good things.

And I suppose The Bill isn't really a fair comparison, so I'll use From Darkness instead. Gadz that was awful.

Kung Fu Hustle.

Lots of Kung Fu and lots of hustling - great fun.

Superb film ! I remember a review in a newspaper summed it up perfectly: "great stupid fun", though it's really clever too

Rubber

A car tyre wakes up one morning and goes on a murderous rampage - tin cans, scorpions, crows, bunnies, cops and motel cleaning ladies- nothing is safe.

Not great but some good bits and one of those films you are glad to have watched - a sort of homage to The Red Balloon.

I saw it as an homage to Christine... but they didn't have the budget for the whole car so threw a bit of Scanners into the mix.

Currently working the late shift so haven't watch anything 'last night' for seemingly yonks... and my days off we're filled with a mahoosive power cut

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Ant man. kids under 10 will really enjoy it. It wasn't bad. A decent way to kill a couple of hours.
