(Again)

Love it. Opening scenes are fab, I really must holiday in Italy in the summer some time.

Was checking whether it was suitable for my son to watch as he's growing up now, noticed a big number of edits as it's the ITV version and all the objectionable bits are edited out. The jumps are quite noticeable.

The Hypnotist.

Swedish movie. Bit Scandi-grey rather than Scandi-noir tbh. And Leno Olin acted the rest of the cast off the screen.

Inside Out.

Pixar stuff. Very funny about characters inside everyone's heads that control emotions. The Dad sketch was spot on.

Saw the best film I've seen in a while last night. It was 'Whiplash', a movie about a drummer with an obsession about being the next Buddy Rich and is at a very prestigious music school in New York. They have a particularly odious teacher (JK Rowlands winning the Oscar) who demands the best from them and belittles and physically beats his pupils who are only too pleased to comply with his demands. A very, very good film which gets out of ten where six is the highest, 6/10.

Never saw it earlier but gave Troy, with Brad Pitt a go.
Meh...it was ok. It didnt have the character, it put me in mind of 1960s 1970s epics...fine in their day but dated now.
