Going off this thread, we seem to have broadly similar taste and interest in film.

So I feel confident giving you this warning:

Don't. Just don't. It's totally unnecessary and self indulgent bollocks from Lowe. His choices of songs are fine, but pale in comparison to Martinez's brilliant score.

It's like eating a limp prawn sandwich after you've indulged in the finest lobster available.
I suspected as much, to be fair.

Maybe when there's nothing else on the box, eh.

I'd stick on the original myself...

I don't quite understand why Refn allowed it - he's such a meticulous and considered director.

Winter's Bone - a stunning, not to say stupefying portrayal of a place and a culture I'm very thankful is a long, long way away, with a simple but strong central story, excellent unobtrusive direction, and quietly flawless performances from a pretty much unknown group of actors. You're gripped from start to finish, and emerge blinking and dazed at the end.

I caught Around the World Under the Sea (1966) last night on TCM. Haven't seen it for ages, not since I was about ten in 1974!. Wonderful 1960's scuba movie with Lloyd Bridges. Obviously inspired by Jules Verne, they don't make 'em like that anymore. Great fun and nostalgic for a more innocent time.

The Maze, Scorch Trials.

First movie started out well, this got part way through, and.... it's another Zombie movie. WTF. Yet another follow on movie due.

Dissapointed as there was a good opportunity for the second movie to be a bit different. Nope Zombies. Grrr

Taxi Driver. Some films will never get old. What a performance, what a script, what a film. 'You lookin' at me?' A stonewall 10/10 if ever there was one.

A Room For Brass 7.5/10

I love Shane Meadows stuff, a lot of it is farcical, as I have a feeling that is probably how he views the way to get through everyday life, but on the other hand parts are really heavy and moving.
