I love that movie, Christian Bale is superb. Everybody to their own though, I haven't read the book though.

Last night's offering was the very cerebral Invasion USA with Chuck Norris.

Chuck the one man army saves the USA from a group of terrorists, entertaining in a fisticuffs, guns, car chases, and explosions kind of way.

Meh. Not read the book, but I've seen better Zombie films.

Warm Bodies
Again, ok. There's a message in there about the way the zombie plague is resolved, I think, and the world it sets up is an interesting one. I did find myself wishing for a more conventional zombie narrative set in the same world at times. What does for it in the end though, for me at least, is the realisation that the BBC 3 series "In The Flesh" answered a lot of the questions warm bodies raises, and did so better.

Amour
Not an easy watch, and I'm not sure the ending works, but deserving of the praise heaped on it.

Weds night was Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk
Last night was Iron Man 2 and Thor... but I nodding off in the middle of Thor

Iron man can do no wrong in my books, the Hulk was a tad boring which is a shame cos I love the character and Thor just doesn't do it for me

Get Low - After 40 years hidden away, irascible hermit loner wants funeral party to set the record straight. Beautifully shot film and when you've got Robert Duvall and Bill Murray in the same cast you should expect something special, and you get it.

One of those films I hadn't heard of and thought it looked worth a watch, absolutely first-rate.

The Mummy. Not a brilliant film, but Arnold Vosloo is every bit as watchable as Brendan Frasers hairpiece.

And Rachael Weisz.... we badly need a licking lips smiley!

I think for a film in the classic B-movie adventure genre, it is very good indeed. So much fun.

The Hobbit 'The battle of the five armies.'

Slightly disappointing after umpteen hours of other films in the series.:tired:

I persevered through the first 45 minutes or so until Billy Connolly unexpectedly appeared. After Stephen Fry, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman this was the last straw and I gave up.
