I too loved Twin Peaks but also agree with Dragon.I hate a series thats go on forever with no ending in sight, they just go on and on and on and on and on and..........

One show i would love to see a second series of is the French The Returned,a beautiful and mesmerising story which first aired a couple of years ago and not seen since.

Snitch - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as a dad who goes undercover to help his drug dealer son.

The usual car chase, plenty of guns, but unusually not much fisticuffs.

It also tries to be a serious story without any light hearted moments.

Not one of his best.

Thats what I thought. In the books you have this very large man and in the film you have wait for it.....tom cruise. Mmmm not good
it's a shame, cos they followed the book fairly closely, the production was good, the fisticuff scenes most excellent, it's just... it's just that is how none of us pictured Reacher when we read the books. Physically speaking Dolph Lundgren would have been closer to the mark, but I guess that he's not got the box office allure of Cruise.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Dawn of the planet of the apes. Excellent film. Much better than all the others. I really enjoyed it. 8/10

Deadwood is brilliant. Or as they might say in Deadwood, f**king brilliant.

Yes it is. Never heard the F word or c**k sucker used as much in my life. But yes its quality.

I just watched Ex Machina last night as I liked the reviews and often like Film 4 films. Its a not a massive budget film but very stylish all the same. I thought it was really good, not quite as good as the reviews but well worth a watch. 7.5/10

The Counsellor, well that was a load of rubbish. None of the characters were appealing or even well rounded. Very 2 dimensional. Basically don't get involved in drug cartels, no matter how much money you can make as it is a bit nastier than a lawyer can handle.

One of the 64K
Mad Max Fury Road. Fantastic, great visuals, really clever battles. Plot and characterisation. OK, it's Mad Max, don't go in expecting The Lives of Others or something, but it really hung together well, didn't particularly slow or feel long (maybe the beat before the final battle) and delivered everything promised and more. Both went in excited to see it and came out frothing about an amazing film.

Saw it in 3D but I reckon 2D would be fine, if you liked anything about the previous films at all, I'd go give it a watch. Really hope it gets the return it deserves.

1. Watched (recorded) 'Dredd' when it was on a week or so ago.

Not the Stallone film, but the more recent version, with Karl Urban, in the eponymous role
A very dystopian film

From what I recall, the only high spot in the Stallone film, is when Sandra Bullock (mis) states; "Let's go Kiss some Ass!"

2.
Bought 'Battle of the 5 Armies' at ASDA yesterday, might watch it with daughter this evening (she's off to see 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' again, with a schoolfriend, this afternoon)
