They aren't high brow cinema by any stretch of the imagination, and listening to the guys on the podcast trying to make them that was also quite funny. But I think they are cleverer than people give them benefit for and if you go in expecting an action movie that jumps to conclusions and isn't afraid of dodging logic in the name of a good stunt they can be worth your time. I have slowly become a fan, having been a reluctant participant initially.
Agreed! I always end up rooting for the protagonists by the end - I'll be sad to reach the end of my current stash (Furious 5 is the last I have available to watch).

Whatever the merits of 4 (Fourious) in the overall franchise, it's a definite step up in the stunt department from the entries I've seen so far.

I have never seen any of the Fast and Furious movies and to be honest i dont have any desire to.

As for Bourne,i just love them. All four movies are action packed from beginning to end.Miles better than Bond in my opinion.

Ultimatum was good. I watched Legacy last night as I hadn't seen it. Kinda crap IMO. Too cliche, with the whole 'super soldier' platform.

Tonight it shall be The Motorcycle Diaries - once I get this fecking article written! :cursing:

now that's something we agree on... Matt Damon has the on screen charisma of a tea bag, and not a decent tea bag at that. His only good role was in Team America, and he was pretty much the worst thing about that film too. I did give him one last chance a few years ago when my boss convinced me that the Bourne films really were worth a watch... they weren't, And that particular boss turned out to be a complete %@#&er too.

I feel much better now.

He's alright in stuff where he's not the focus I think, The Departed and Dogma are both good.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Hercules starring the rock. Not a bad film. Some funny bits. Ian mcshane played a good part. well worth watching I thought 8/10

dogma... total & utter crap... the departed, a half decent remake of a much better film. it only exists for people who don't like subtitles.

last night i watched Public Service Broadcasting... which was a lot like watching a film, albeit a public information one. Great stuff. :okay:

Surprised Matt Damon seems to run people up the wrong way. I first came across him in Good Will Hunting, which I really enjoyed, and was even more impressed when I found out (thru' Family Guy) that he wrote it too.

The yellow sea. My god. No-one does violence like the Koreans. Makes Hollywood violence look like Disney. Intense, driving, guttural action, never lets up from start to finish. Brilliant.
You seen "I Saw the Devil"? That brought a whole new level of cinematic violence when I saw it.

I Saw the Devil is one of,if not the greatest serial killer movie ever made. And from one of my all time favourite actors Choi min Sic it is a masterpiece.

Gravity.

One of those where The Star gets a 1" thick user manual written in a foreign language and still manages to work out what to do in under 30 seconds.
